Again in 2016 the white Porsche with the red applications – traditional identifying feature of FACH AUTO TECH – will mix up the fastest Porsche cup of the world.
The Porsche team of Sattel in central Switzerland follows up its successfully previous years in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup with an Italian youngster and a Swiss driver. On 14th of April, drivers and team governor unveiled the new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup of 2016 at Porsche Centre Zurich.
Philipp Frommenwiler (CH), #6: Another season Philipp Frommenwiler is responsible for the racing car with number #6. The congenial Swiss of Kreuzlingen began his racing career eleven years ago in karting and climbed the career levels through the formula championships up into touring car racing. At Austin in 2014 the 26-year-old partook his first Supercup race with FACH AUTO TECH and last year he achieved good results which want to be improved this season. Team chief Alex Fach considers that a podium finish for Philipp Frommenwiler is overdue.
Matteo Cairoli (I), #7: With Matteo Cairoli a very fast racing pilot docks the Swiss team. The young Italian from Como, who rose from the single-seater racing into the Porsche Cups, booked up two podium ranks and the title of “Rookie of the Year” in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup in 2015. Like Earl Bamber, the champion of 2014 one year before, the 19-year-old won the “Porsche International Cup Scholarship”. The expectations on the talent are accordingly high. Alex Fach hopes that number #7, with that the team won two races in 2015, will bring Matteo Cairoli luck.
Drivers, team and audience can estimate exciting Porsche races at the Formula 1 events in Europe and overseas. The pack of Zuffenhausen race cars with their 460 horses under the bonnet will be fighting for points and trophies on the traditional European circuits from Barcelona in May to Monza in September.
