By the time the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup will start into the 2016 season next weekend, FACH AUTO TECH already has a hit for the championship on the hands. The team from Sattel in central Switzerland counts as a favourite after series of tests in the run-up to the first race in Barcelona.
Matteo Cairoli (I), #7: Two pole positions – two wins – two fastest laps: Last weekend Matteo Cairoli snatched the maximum score in Belgium. The Porsche-Junior used the races of the Porsche Carrera Cup France in Spa Francorchamps to prepare to the strongest Porsche series, the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. The young Italian on an Ebi Motors Porsche was supervised by a part of the FACH-team. Team chief Alex Fach: “We could deepen our cooperation to Matteo during the Carrera Cup races. And of course he is now under the gun as a hot contender for the championship. But we are full of confidence.”
Philipp Frommenwiler (CH), #6: Even the teammate Philipp Frommenwiler has already completed an extensive test program on his FACH-Porsche. By the look at the lap charts the Swiss can be very optimistic about the upcoming racing season. Alex Fach underlined once again that a podium finish for Philipp Frommenwiler is long overdue.
The race on the 4.6 kilometer long Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya can be followed live on TV on Sky Sport 1 channel and Eurosport or online at racecam.de. (petra weddige, motorsport-concepts.de; Fotos: Porsche)
