Barcelona premiere with three new cars

After a long winter pause, FACH AUTO TECH begins the first Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup race weekend in mid-May. In addition to a new car, the successful team from Sattel will now be introducing three drivers.

From 12th – 14th May, FACH AUTO TECH is on the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya for the Porsche Supercup’s season opener. The Swiss team’s narrow win of the 2016 season final in Austin, means it starts the coming race as vice champion.

“Our strategic goal this season is clearly defined. We want to clinch the championship again”, says a confident team manager Alex Fach. “Last year we delivered an exceptional performance and were always up front. This year, we’ll be battling for top positions with the new car and three motivated drivers.”

For the first time, three FACH AUTO TECH drivers Matt Campbell, Glauco Solieri and Josh Webster will take the wheel of the newest Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. Putting a further car into the race means more work, but offers the team a new chance. “Parallel to the overall rankings, Glauco is also competing for the amateur title. An exciting season with great possibilities lies ahead and I’m already looking forward to the start in Barcelona”, reports Alex Fach.

The first race kicks off on May 13th at 18:25. The second round is a day later on May 14th, at 11.45. This year, all Porsche Supercup rounds can be followed live on Eurosport and Sky Sport.
