DOUBLE PREMIERE IN MONACO

The upcoming Monaco Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup race will be a special one for FACH AUTO TECH. In the two preceding years, the Sattel team won the season’s highlight, but this year, defending the title will be a particularly challenging assignment, as both Matt Campbell and Josh Webster will be making their debut on the traditional city circuit.

From 25th – 28th May, the FACH AUTO TECH team will be in the Principality of Monaco, tackling the season’s second race weekend. The two previous years saw the Swiss squad claim first place with Jaap van Lagen and Matteo Cairoli and they now have their sights set on winning the approaching race yet again.

It won’t be an easy task, admits team manager Alex Fach. “Monaco is a difficult and demanding circuit and completely new for Josh and Matt. It will be a big challenge for them both, but I think a top result in the Rookie class should be possible. Glauco has already had some circuit experience in Monaco and so we are also aiming for a Top 3 ranking in the amateur class.”

After both pole positions and a third place in Barcelona, Matt Campbell is highly motivated for the season’s third race. “Monaco is definitely my favourite circuit and I’ve already watched many races there on TV”, said the Porsche Junior. “For the first time in my life, I’ll be competing there myself and that’s something I’ll never forget.”

The race starts on Sunday 28th May at 9:45 a.m. Early risers can watch the third race of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup season, live from 9:30 a.m. on Eurosport 2 and Sky Sport.
