Before continuing into the next round of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup at the end of August, the FACH AUTO TECH team travelled to Italy for the official season test. The squad went through their paces during two days on the cult circuit in Monza and stood at the top of the timesheets in all practice sessions.
In preparation for the second half of the season, Matt Campbell, Josh Webster and Glauco Solieri completed an extensive test program on the Italian circuit from 8th – 9th August. The three racing drivers covered 14 hours of driving time behind the wheel of their Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and collected valuable data.
“The Monza test days were definitely a positive experience for us”, says team manager Alex Fach. “We were in the fast lane and positioned ourselves in the Top 5 in all four practice sessions. During the afternoon, when all the others were coping with tyre problems, we were even going one better and clocking in new fastest times. I’m very proud of the whole team, who’ve done a fantastic job”.
After these promising test days in Monza, the squad leaves next weekend for Dijon and the Porsche Sports Cup Suisse, where Matt Campbell will be supporting the Swiss drivers. From 25th – 27th August, the next round of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup is scheduled in Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium.
