The 2023 season marks FACH AUTO TECH’s third year in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland. The Sattel-based squad is counting on Morris Schuring, Alexander Fach and Jasin Ferati for talent, experience and a large portion of youngster enthusiasm. After winning the 2022 Rookie title, the team is now focussing on a win in the overall rankings.
17 years old, highly ambitious and the latest member of the FACH AUTO TECH family – that’s Morris Schuring. The Dutchman is no stranger to the team and in the previous season, Schuring was one of the fiercest opponents in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland. He ended his 2022 season with an overall sixth place.
“I’ve always seen the Fach team as extremely fair on the track. Over time, I’ve become good friends with Lorcan and Alexander and so I very much appreciate the harmony that the team conveys”, he explains. “I’m excited about working with Alex and the whole crew and our goals are quite clear: we’ll be fighting for victories and intend to land as near to the front of the standings as possible.”
Alexander Fach is also aiming to do just that! The 20-year-old stood on the grid for FACH AUTO TECH in the 2022 German Porsche one-make series. The rookie collected a total of three wins and five further podiums in the youngster driver classification and now hopes to achieve the jump to the top in 2023.
“I think we can achieve a lot together this year. I definitely aim to be competitive at the highest level and secure podiums, even victories”, says Fach. “ It motivates me incredibly to have Morris as a teammate. He was an opponent last year and I know we can learn a lot from each other and push each other forwards.”
19-year-old Jasin Ferati is also on the lookout for new knowledge and experience and is celebrating his Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland debut. “I’m very much looking forward to continuing work with the team, who are like a family, but highly professional at the same time”, the youngster from Winterthur explains. “My goal is to claim the Rookie title and I feel that’s possible with this strong crew.” Ferati already knows the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and FACH AUTO TECH extremely well and was crowned GT3 Cup champion in the 2022 Porsche Sports Cup Suisse with the Sattel-based team. Now the next career step will be taken together with Alex Fach’s racing squad.
