The final round in Hockenheim marked the end of a successful season for FACH AUTO TECH in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland: In the last race of the championship, all drivers once again shined and finished the race in the top 10. Jasin Ferati especially had reason to celebrate. The young driver from Winterthur came home third in the rookie classification in both races.
“I learned something new every weekend and was able to improve step by step. The two podium places once again showed that,” Ferati summed up. With two podiums and a tenth place overall, he delivered a strong performance and confirmed the upward trend.
Morris Schuring also had the chance to visit the podium. In the first race of the weekend, the Dutchman had fought for the lead, but had to settle for fourth place due to a braking error and the resulting tire problem. At the end of a season with highs and lows, two fourth places are a conciliatory end for him. “Unfortunately, I made a mistake in the first race, which probably cost me the win. Nevertheless, I am happy to have scored some championship points again,” said the 18-year-old.
In yet another demonstration of a cool head and great fighting spirit, 21-year-old Alexander Fach was also able to show off his strengths this weekend and got the most out of difficult starting positions. The best example of this was Sunday’s race, in which Fach moved up from starting position 18 to a strong eighth place overall.
Team principal Alex Fach looks at the finale of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland with both a tear and a smile: “It’s hard to believe that the season is already over. The Carrera Cup and Supercup programme demanded a lot from our team. It is all the nicer that our drivers rewarded it with success. For me personally, the victories are among my absolute highlights. Our partners and friends know how hard we had to work for this. Big thanks to everyone who believed in us!”
