New challenge for 2024: FACH AUTO TECH in the ADAC GT Masters

For years, FACH AUTO TECH was successful in the Porsche one-make series. In 2024, the squad from Sattel will face a new challenge: Alex Fach’s race team will compete in the ADAC GT Masters with the Porsche 911 GT3 R. Alexander Schwarzer and Alexander Fach will share driving duties in the #4 car.

“This will be an incredibly exciting year for us,” said team principal Alex Fach. “We have a lot of experience to gain in the coming season – from the new car to a new racing format, to the highly competitive starting field with a large variety of manufacturers. But we are really looking forward to these challenges. We have a strong team and a promising driver duo – so we go full attack! A big thank you goes to our partners and sponsors; without whose support we would not be able to take on this project.”

With Alexander Fach and Alexander Schwarzer, two real Porsche experts will drive the #4 car which appears in the striking red and white FACH AUTO TECH design in the ADAC GT Masters. Schwarzer has already competed for the Schwyz-based team in the Porsche Sports Cup Suisse and the 24 Hours of Dubai. He also made a guest appearance with the squad in the 2023 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. “I’m happy to be part of the Fach family again,” said Schwarzer. “My goal is to fight for the podium – or even to be on the podium with Alexander. I’m sure it won’t be an easy season, but that’s why I’m doing all this – tough challenges pay off in the end. I will do my best and never give up.”

Teammate Alexander Fach also knows the team very well. The 21-year-old competed for FACH AUTO TECH in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland in 2022 and 2023. He collected several podiums and took the first victory by a Swiss in the prestigious Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup at Silverstone. He is looking forward to switching to a Porsche 911 GT3 R: “Of course the Porsche 911 GT3 R is a different car than the Cup Porsche – among other things, we now have many more set-up options and more downforce, and it is also equipped with ABS and traction control. It is therefore even more important that we work well together as a team. But I think I’ll quickly feel comfortable in the car.”

There are further changes awaiting the duo compared to the one-make series. The ADAC GT Masters offers a great variety – in addition to Porsche, the top-class starting field includes Audi, Mercedes, Aston Martin, Lamborghini and BMW. Two races per weekend are held, one on Saturday and one on Sunday, both for the duration of 60 minutes. They include a mandatory pit stop with a driver change.

The ADAC GT Masters season will start its season on 9 and 10 April with the official test at the Hockenheimring. The first race weekend takes place in Oschersleben from 26 to 28 April followed by races at Circuit Zandvoort, the Nürburgring, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps as well as at the Red Bull Ring and the Hockenheimring.
