A small one, please: Supercup Porsche in miniature at Wunderland Hamburg

Taking delivery of cars from Porsche is part of daily business at FACH AUTO TECH. But this time was quite different: For the latest Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, Alex Fach had to go to Miniature Wunderland in Hamburg.

The miniature exposition in the Hanseatic city is one of Germany’s most popular tourist attractions. Every day, thousands of visitors stream through the halls in Hamburg’s Speicherstadt to explore the themed worlds on a scale of 1:87, which have been crafted with great attention to detail. One of the newest highlights in Miniatur Wunderland is the Principality of Monaco.

What does that have to do with FACH AUTO TECH? The racing team from Sattel in Switzerland is featured (although smaller) in the ‘mini Monaco’. In addition to all the yachts, pools and dazzling characters, the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, with which Christopher Zöchling competed in the 2021 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup street race, is also part of the creation – including grandstands and fans.

What makes it even more special is that the 911 model has been recreated down to the smallest detail – and with a size of only a few centimetres that is anything but an easy task. The little racer is adorned with the logos of LOWA, André Koch, the Porsche Center Zug and Gassner AG, among others.

The sparkle in Alex Fach’s eyes couldn’t be overlooked when he held the model car in his hands for the first time. “I am so incredibly happy that we are now represented here with our own little Fach car,” he says. “I’m a huge fan of Miniatur Wunderland and have been here many times with my family. I admire how people here work on the smallest details with so much passion. That reminds me of our own team.”

The cooperation between FACH AUTO TECH and Miniatur Wunderland Hamburg began in May 2021. As part of the Supercup season opener in Monaco, Christopher Zöchling advertised the attraction in Hamburg on his Porsche. It caused a lot of excitement in Hamburg, as Pierre Georg reveals: “We were enthusiastic about the campaign and kept our fingers crossed for the team. Now we are delighted that the little Porsche will also be doing its rounds here in Monaco,” said the man responsible for the cooperation.
