Sainte Devote, Casino, Mirabeau – these are the names of places that make every racer’s heart beat faster. Next weekend the height of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup 2016 is on the agenda of FACH AUTO TECH. The Swiss Porsche team travels to Monaco with Matteo Cairoli as championship leader and Philipp Frommenwiler as ninth on the table.
Matteo Cairoli (I), #7: Within the German Porsche Carrera Cup, Matteo Cairoli and his team chief Alex Fach stayed for testing at Spielberg, Austria. The young Italian in the service of FACH AUTO TECH underlined there his ambitions for the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup with a pole position and a podium finish in the Porsche of Ebi-Motors. The Supercup event will be at the same place in July. Alex Fach and his young protégé established firmly their close cooperation during a lot of testing kilometres on various racetracks. Together they look forward to the next race: “For Monte Carlo we are highly motivated due to our last year’s victory there scored by Jaap van Lagen. In any case our goal is at least a podium finish.”
Philipp Frommenwiler (CH), #6: After the satisfied run-out in Barcelona Philipp Frommenwiler makes plans for the race at the Côte d’Azur too. Keeping in mind the Swiss will be focused on the starting position, because overtaking will be hardly possible on the narrow street circuit of Monte Carlo. “Philipp did very well last year in Monaco and we hope that he can link to the performance of 2015,” said Alex Fach.
