After the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup summer break, FACH AUTO TECH enters the next round with the season’s fourth race on the Red Bull Ring. Matt Campbell celebrated a win with his guest start at the beginning of June on the Austrian circuit and will be doing everything in his power to repeat this success on 9th July.
“Matt’s Red Bull Ring win was absolutely amazing. He’s never driven the circuit before and then in the first race he delivers such an impressive performance”, says proud team manager Alex Fach. “We’ve done a lot of training on our free days and used the experience to build up our strategy. In the coming race, we’ll be doing our upmost to stand on the top step of the podium again.”
During the Spielberg guest start, team mate Josh Webster was also able to familiarize himself with the route, but due to technical issues, couldn’t make a top position. “We’ve scrutinized the races and examined Josh’s car very intensely, so we’ve combed out all the errors and I think nothing is now standing between us and a Top 5 result”, said Fach.
During the previous Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup race in Monaco, Glauco Solieri gave a very impressive performance and secured the championship third place in the amateur rankings. Alex Fach explains how the Swiss driver has completed an extra training session for his start at the Red Bull Ring: “Glauco did a lot more laps in our test drives and continuously improved his lap times. We’re in a good position for the amateur ranking fight and I think a further podium finish is realistic.”
Free practice starts on Friday 7th July, qualifying on Saturday at 12:25 and then all three drivers will be at the start of the season’s fourth round on Sunday at 11:30. The TV channels Eurosport 2 and Sky Sport will be offering live race coverage.
