FULL SPEED AHEAD TO HUNGARY

FACH AUTO TECH starts the second half of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup season on the Hungaroring. After a two-week preparation phase, the Swiss team will be at the year’s hottest race, scheduled for 28th – 30th July. Alex Fach’s team is completely focused on the next podium finish.

In April, Josh Webster and Matt Campbell had already made two guest starts in Budapest, taking part in the GT3 Cup Challenge Central Europe. Josh Webster clinched a win in the first race and his team mate took second in the Sunday race, enabling FACH AUTO TECH to lay the foundations and build up a strategy for the coming race weekend.

“In Silverstone, things didn’t quite go according to plan, but now we’re well equipped for the Hungaroring”, says team manager Alex Fach. “Thanks to their intensive preparation, both Matt and Josh are good candidates for a podium position. Even if an eye to eye duel is a possibility, there will be no team orders. We want to give both drivers the chance to win.”

Glauco Solieri has also invested a lot of time with the team in getting ready for the B Classification fight and Fach explains: “We’ve analyzed Glauco’s previous races and worked out a new strategy together. This should help him to secure top of the class in Hungary and strengthen his position in the battle for the title.”

FACH AUTO TECH will be receiving additional support in Hungary from two long-time partners. The Zürich Porsche Centre and also Winterthur will be on site with guests to back up the team.

Practice starts on Friday 28th July. After the Saturday qualifying, the drivers will begin the Sunday race at 11.30. Sky Sport is broadcasting the entire race live. An audio stream of each session can also be found on racecam.de and in addition, the official Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup Facebook page is offering extensive coverage throughout the weekend.
